YSRCP questions TDP on Fiber Grid Contract

Dec 29, 2015

The principal Opposition YSRCP leaders have questioned the AP government on awarding the project worth of Rs 333 crore to set up fiber grid in the State to Terra Software Ltd that was earlier in the blacklist. Earlier, former Congress MP Undavalli Aruna Kumar made the allegations on TDP.

YSRCP spokesperson Vasireddy Padma, speaking to reporters said, “The Rs 333 crore optic fiber contract was allocated to Terra Software company which was blacklisted earlier, and the owner is facing EVMs theft case in Maharashtra. This shows how TDP Government is functioning.”

“Vemuri Hariprasad is close to TDP Leaders and thus the government has given the contract. Even more surprising fact is that Hariprasad is a member of the same committee that has cleared the contract making the deal murky as such schemes are benefitting the TDP leaders,” she further said.
“The TDP government has been working for the benefits, and it is not new for them as even CM Chandrababu Naidu is also involved in such schemes. We demand the cancellation of fiber grid contract allotted to the company which has questionable credentials,” she said.
