AP Government signs MoU with Microsoft

Andhra Pradesh Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Microsoft during the meet of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and CEO Satya Nadella on Monday, for improving the use of use of ICT, drive digital inclusion and offering better services.

Microsoft India as per the MoU signed will offer technical knowledge to government of Andhra Pradesh, besides support building three proof-of-concept (PoC) solutions to various fields including Agriculture productivity, Education and eCitizen services via Microsoft Azure Machine Learning and Advanced Visualization method, for addressing the problems and providing better outcomes. The meet between AP CM and Mr. Satya Nadella lasted 80 minutes, in which the latter has assured cooperation for the utilization of cloud data for improving citizen services. AP government has urged him for setting up a Centre of Excellence in Vishakhapatnam while Mr.Nadella has also promised to visit Anantapur District in his next visit.

“Continuing its commitment to support the AP government’s initiatives for Cloud adoption and improve citizen services, Microsoft India will also provide training to the State government’s executives on Microsoft technologies such as Cloud, Mobility and appropriate Microsoft Technology stack,” a statement from the State government read.
