Anam Brothers Quits Congress; Joins TDP

Dec 3, 2015

The AP Congress Party has witnessed another blow with two of its Senior Nellore leaders-former state minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and former MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy quitting the party and joining the ruling TDP.

TDP Chief and AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu welcomed Reddy brothers into TDP offering them the yellow Kanduva in Vijayawada. Aanam brothers speaking to media said, “With Congress not mature enough to review and correct its faults done in bifurcation, we decided to leave Congress and join TDP. Our pleas as Ministers to Congresss high demand against bifurcation of AP State fell deaf ear to the Party bigwigs, and they aren’t still showing any sign of regret for their decisions.”

“Besides adverse conditions, we have confidence the state will develop in the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu. We are not expecting any positions in the government.” Being an influential family in Nellore district, Anam brothers exit will be a major setback to Congress in AP, which is presently not having even a representation in the Legislative Assembly. Anam brothers have been staying out of active politics from the previous year and have finally decided to join TDP in the interest of the state's development.
