Akhil (Akhil Akkineni), an orphan falls for Medical Student Divya (Sayessha Saigal), an only daughter of Mukesh (Mahesh Manjrekar) a well settled businessman. Mukesh keeps in close contacts with local goon Mambo. Twist in tale gets in the form of German Scientist Katrochi who tries to catch hold of Jua (The power of Sun Ball which can save the planet from the major destruction.).

Meanwhile, Akhil who falls for Divya eyes on Jua. Why did Akhil chases for Jua? Will he get back his love life is rest of the story.

Akhil Akkineni gives a promising debut. He is definitely an impressible actor and for sure will reach the heights with with his looks, dances and action sequences too.
The actor should work more on his expressions, comic timing and dialogue delivery to make sure to continue the legacy of his Family.

Sayesha Saigal gets a decent role in the film and the actress looks on awe in the film.

Mahesh Manjrekar gets a routine role.

Brahmanandam as Johnson & Johnson, Sapthagiri as Pothe Babu Rao forces the audience to laugh in most of their scenes.  Jayaprakash Reddy and Vennela Kishore are so-so.

Veteran Actor Rajendra Prasad role is wasted.

Akkineni Nagarjuna’s cameo is a surprise in the song called Akkineni Akkineni.

The screenplay by Veligonda Srinivas Rao is not impressive and turns the films output into boredom.

Kona Venkat’s dialogues are not up to the mark.

Cinematography gets on top-notch and the visuals turns to major asset. Music by Thaman S and Anup Rubens saves the audience and the BGM by Manisharma is good.

VFX works is not up to expectations. Production Values of Shresht Movies Banner are OK.

Film Analysis

Akhil film has finally released with huge expectations among the audience and Akkineni Fans. The film though postponed earlier for VFX changes has finally scored an unimpressive result due to lack of screenplay and the dragging elements through out the film.

The film’s first half goes on love track and chasing scenes with high dose of Action. Though there is scope for an entertainment in most of the film, the director has completely failed to give an exact output. The first half of the film goes on rapid pace and gets on slow post interval with poor visuals and weak climax.

Most of the scenes are predictable and the film has no scope to feel an interesting note. Apart from the Akhil’s Dances and action stunts the film has nothing to note on the positive points.

Akhil- Boring Film

RATING: 2.5/5
