May 22, 2015

Mosagallaku Mosagadu is the title of the film that has Sudheer Babu and Nandini in the lead roles. The film shows Sudheer in a new role. The film has been directed by Bose Nelluri and produced by Chakri Chigurupati. The review is here. Check it out.

Krishh (Sudheer Babu) is a small time con who cheats and makes money for his living. One fine day, he is assigned a job of stealing a precious idol by Kaushik (Jaya Prakash Reddy) and his gang. An active and young Krish starts his plans to steal it and bring back to Kaushik. But all of a sudden a twist arises as an unexpected shock to the gang of Kaushik when Krish fails to return with the idol. The boss (Abhimanyu Singh) of Kaushik now starts fight with Krish.

Why did Krishh steal the idol?

What is the story behind the idol?

Who won in the game?

The answers for the above questions form the rest of the story.

Sudheer Babu looks stylish when compared to his previous flicks. This film has given him the best look in his career. He improved a lot performance wise and he is also at his best in acting. He has given a solid one man show in the film. The comedy track between Jaya Prakash Reddy, Fish Venkat is hilarious and it came out very well. The entertainment quotient is saving factor for the film.

Coming to the female lead, it is a flop show. Heroine Nandini looks good but fails to impress. Both in terms of glamour and in terms of performance she has failed to leave a good impression. There are many supporting and character artists in the film who have made a good job in the film and the baddie Abhimanyu Singh is ok as the bad guy. All the actors put a decent show for the film. The film’s run time is 127 minutes which is a relief.

But the poor first half tests your patience and it is certainly the biggest drawback in the movie. The unnecessary happenings and boring scenes will leave a poor impression. The plot, major twists and the screenplay is completely predictable that there is no excitement that was left. The lags should have been avoided and the crime thrillers should not give boredom but this offers you what not to be offered.

Camera work is pretty good and presents the film in a decent light. The story is predictable and the screenplay contains ups and downs. The editing is dull as the director could have used some scissors for the unnecessary scenes in the film. Music is a big disappointment. Hardly there are songs that could be hummable and is the BGM.

The weak narration is a minus of the film and the director did a lot of hard work but he failed in providing an engaging content. Mosagallaku Mosagadu will provide a decent relief for Sudheer Babu’s career. But this is not the required and sufficient film in his career. The much hype and expectations were not reached and satisfied. Do watch once for the entertainment.
